Health Care False Claims and Qui Tam Cases

At Stavros Law, our health care law attorneys have experience representing whistleblowers under the federal False Claims Act.  We can also assist with the defense of such claims. Our firm's experience with health care billing and reimbursement issues is a valuable asset to any potential claims brought under the False Claims Act.

The FCA enables certain individuals, or relators, to file lawsuit on behalf of the government when the government has been defrauded. A common type of claim brought is Medicare or Medicaid billing fraud.  We can also assist with False Claim Act cases brought under sister state laws. A successful whistleblower can recover between fifteen and thirty percent of the government's recovery from the qui tam lawsuit.  Whistleblower claims arise in a variety of contexts, and often involve claims brought by former employees and/or competitors of businesses engaged in fraud.

The attorneys at Stavros Law can assist you in reviewing and determining whether you have a potential claim that can be brought under federal or state law, and ensure that you proceed in a manner that will protect your right to recover proceeds recouped by the government.

We also represent individuals and business in a variety of related whistleblower claims. For more information about how we can help you, or to answer specific questions about your potential claim, please call (801) 758-7604 or contact us online.
